BLM Leader’s ‘Burn Down’ System Comment is Telling

The president of the Greater New York Black Lives Matter was asked in an interview Wednesday night about what his group hoped to achieve through acts of violence during the anti-police protests that exploded across the country during the past few weeks.

Hawk Newsome told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that the “country is built upon violence.” He said “if the country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking…figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation.”

Buck Sexton, the host of “The Buck Sexton Show,” said Thursday that—once again—a BLM advocate is telling the country that this movement is not about negotiation. The country is essentially being held hostage and if we do not give in to the demands of the angry mob, the system will burn in the name of social justice. There will be no safe quarter for any American who refuses to bend the knee to their demands.

“This is not a dialog,” Sexton said. He likened the marches across numerous cities to military parades that showcase an army’s strength.

“These marches on the streets are all meant to show people—not just the numbers they can get to support to movement—but that if you don’t do what they say, then some percentage of these marchers are going to trash your neighborhood and maybe they’ll even show up outside your house.”

Newsome told Fox that black activists have a long history of being identified and assassinated by governments.

"Jesus Christ is the most famous black radical revolutionary in history. And he was treated just like Dr. King. He was arrested on occasion and he was also crucified or assassinated. This is what happens to black activists. We are killed by the government."

Sexton said that it is clear that the Democrat Party is gone and there is no longer even an attempt at a bipartisan solution. (It will be interesting to see how far Joe Biden goes to appease BLM prior to the 2020 election. Even if he selects Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate. She also has a checkered past as prosecutor in the eyes of progressives.)

“This is a threat against the system explicitly by a group that is just the vanguard of the Democrat Party lunatics,” Sexton said.
