There have been rumors that Joe Biden either is giving serious thought to not debating President Trump prior to the November election.
Biden’s envoys have spoken out against the claim and have said that Biden essentially can’t wait for the chance to, ahem, take Trump behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.
But the question remains: why do it? Sure Trump and his supporters will take to social media and continue to question Biden’s cognitive ability, but President Obama’s former vice president has the media, entire news companies and Hollywood literally willing to turn a blind eye to any legitimate concerns about his candidacy if it means removing Trump from office.
“If I were Joe Biden, I wouldn’t show up,” Buck Sexton, the host of “The Buck Sexton Show,” said Wednesday. “In fact, I don’t know why Biden feels any need to really do much of anything other than softball interviews with the lib media that is desperate to get him elected.”
Sexton asked, “Why take the risk?”
Biden does not do many interviews and even when he is in front of friendly journalists, it seems that he cannot help but make unfavorable headlines.
He was interviewed by the National Association of Black Journalists and National Association of Hispanic Journalists that is set to air on Thursday and he was asked if he took any kind of cognitive tests.
“No, I haven’t taken a test,” he said. “Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man. That’s like saying, before you got in this program, you’re taking a test whether you’re taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?”
Sexton said that cons clearly outweigh the pros for Team Biden when it comes to debating Trump, and even the president’s most ardent detractors admit that Trump would eat Biden’s lunch. Sexton also said Biden does not have the personality to inspire people. (That is why people are almost looking past Biden in anticipation for his pick for vice president.)
Sexton said that besides keeping Biden as far away from a reporter as possible, Democrats are going to have to figure out how to handle these violent protesters that they have supported in purple states.
“BLM [Black Lives Matter] is a political liability in states that are purple, where they’re independent voters and where the Democrat Party needs to try to convince folks in the suburbs.”
