Dems, Allies in Media Attempt Trump Coup 2.0

The old saying goes, “If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.”

Democrats and their comrades in the mainstream media made sure that “Russia collusion” was that top news story for the past three years, and since that claim didn’t amount to a hill of beans, they've moved on to selling the bogus theory that somehow President Trump would not leave office if he loses in 2020, Buck Sexton, the host of “The Buck Sexton Show” said on Monday.

“Now, there’s no basis for this right now,” he said. “There’s no reason to believe that this is actually true. But it doesn’t matter that it’s not true the same way it didn’t matter that Russia collusion was all a big lie. They’re going with this.”

Sexton has long claimed that Joe Biden is not the candidate that Democrats want to take on Trump. But if they want to boot Trump from office, it will be the lifetime politician who will be the person to do it. And he needs all the help he can get.

Democrats understand that in order to beat Trump, they need to stir the public’s anxiety and, once again, stake to the claim that Democracy itself is in danger. (Where have we heard this before?)

April Ryan, the CNN political analyst, echoed the theory on Saturday that somehow a military division is going to have to be called to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue because Trump is hiding under his desk in the Oval Office while the Bidens are outside with their U-Haul.

“There’s going to be a split-screen on Jan. 20, 2021,” Ryan said. “If Joe Biden is now going to be the 46th president of the United States, you will have him being inaugurated and watching police and armed forces trying to pull Donald Trump out of the White House. I cannot wait for that split-screen.”

Of course, in 2016, Democrats raised the theory that Trump would not accept the results after he loses to Hillary Clinton. But Democrats seem to believe they have an issue that resonates with their base.

“They think that there might be a contested election,” he said. “So they’re trying to convince you Trump won’t leave office if he loses. They’re also telling you there’s going to be an election that they don’t think is going to be a clear victor on election night. But I thought Trump was so terrible, he’s going to lose by so much? Oh, no, no, no. They know it’s going to be a tight election. We all see that coming.”
