Joe Biden And Running Mate Kamala Harris Deliver Remarks In Delaware

Buck Sexton, the host of “The Buck Sexton Show,” dismissed some of the widespread analysis on cable news networks about the ramifications of Joe Biden selection of Sen. Kamala Harris as a running mate.

Sexton essentially compared Harris’ selection to a push in sports betting with very little influence over the election. He pointed to how commentators are now saying that Trump’s opponent is now Harris, not Biden. But he said that claim also falls short and not the reality.

“Trump is really just running against the Democrat Party,” Sexton said. “Biden, Kamala, it doesn’t matter…as I’ve been telling you, whether it’s Biden or a sack of potatoes, it’s not Trump, it’s a Democrat, it’s somebody that will do the Democrat establishment's biding and that’s all that really matters.”

Harris, a former prosecutor, was once seen as a rising star in the Democrat Party, and for whatever reason, she failed to resonate with voters during the primary and was never a serious contender to be the party’s standard-bearer.

Sexton said it is ironic, that the only memorable moment in her lackluster campaign is when she called Biden a racist on stage without actually calling him a racist.

Harris told Biden during a debate last year that she does not believe he is a racist, which seems far from a compliment. But she told Biden that it was “hurtful” to hear him talk about the reputations of two U.S. senators “who built their reputations and careers on the segregation of race in this country. And it was not only that. You also worked with them to oppose busing. And, you know, there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools and she was bused to school every day and that little girl was me.”

Harris was referencing Biden’s comment during a fundraiser at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City where he praised the late Senators James O. Eastland and Herman Talmadge. He recalled them and a time when there was “civility” in politics.

Sexton mocked Harris’ takedown of Biden and called it the hardest blow any candidate landed on the former vice president during last year’s debates.

“So, you’re not a racist, Joe Biden, because that’s an epithet that we only reserve for Republicans in politics in this country. But you’re like a little bit…you’ve got a little bit of a racist vibe sometimes,” Sexton said, summing up her comment.

Sexton pointed to how Harris also said earlier that she believed Biden’s sexual assault accusers.

“So when it suits her, Kamala Harris is happy to attach herself to and to be advocating for a guy who she thinks may very well be guilty of sexual assault and is kind of a racist,” Sexton said.
